Antecedentes[]
Cuando se le preguntó acerca de la canción, Max dijo en un comunicado enviado por correo electrónico a Billboard: "Recuerdo estar en la cabina cantando melodías, comencé a aplaudir al ritmo. Una cosa llevó a la otra, y así nació el título".
"Siempre me esfuerzo por hacer algo nuevo y fresco", dijo Le Youth en su comunicado. "Aún más importante para mí es hacer algo genial. Este disco cumplió todos esos requisitos. No puedo esperar a que la gente escuche a Ava y mira lo que hemos logrado".
Promoción[]
La canción fue confirmada por primera vez por Le Youth a través de una publicación de Facebook en su cuenta con una imagen de la habitación de la portada del sencillo el 1 de agosto de 2017. La leyenda dice "Nuevo este viernes 👏 con Ava Max..." con Max etiquetada en la imagen.
Recepción[]
Un escritor de la revista Impose afirma que la canción "presenta perfectamente al mundo a la recién llegada del pop Ava Max y su fuerte estilo vocal. Los sintetizadores pegadizos y los aplausos pueden alegrar tu día".
