La portada de la canción se filtró la semana anterior a su lanzamiento cuando se encontró un enlace que contenía formas de transmitir la canción. Se rumoreaba que se lanzaría el 30 de diciembre de 2019 después de que Max hizo un teaser de la fecha en su biografía de Instagram junto con la fecha de lanzamiento de la canción "Alone, Pt. II" con Alan Walker. Max confirmó estas sospechas el 29 de diciembre, el día antes del lanzamiento de las canciones, a través de Instagram.

Michael Love Michael de Paper Magazine elogió la canción y escribió que "la producción está llena de pequeñas sorpresas para mantener las cosas interesantes" y que la canción "parece decidida a hacerla avanzar".
