Amanda Kay is the first and only EP (extended play) by American singer Ava Max, released under the stage name Amanda Kay. The EP was released on September 12, 2008, through Denny Hits, when Ava was just fourteen years old.
It contained six tracks, which were available on all streaming devices, some until 2021. The songs, her first released music of any kind, were later removed from all platforms, however, the entire EP has resurfaced in high quality on SoundCloud and YouTube. The EP first resurfaced when an old fan who had purchased the Amanda Kay EP from iTunes re-shared it on January 2, 2021. [1]
Max has said that she recorded other EPs, but no other EP made by her has been known to have been released or has leaked.
Amanda Kay was commercially unsuccessful, and after the EP, Max did not release any known music until "Take Away the Pain", although she continued to perform in music competitions.
Despite removing it from platforms, Max has in interviews expressed enjoyment when some of the tracks were played for her, but has made it clear that the EP doesn't reflect her as an artist now.
