Ariana Grande-Butera (born June 26, 1993) is an American singer, songwriter, and actress.
Career[]
Following her debut at age 15 in the 2008 Broadway musical 13: The Musical, she gained popularity when she played the role of Cat Valentine on the Nickelodeon TV series, Victorious, and afterwards portrayed the same character on the spin-off with iCarly, Sam & Cat. Following her contract deal with Republic Records in 2011, Grande released her US chart-topping debut studio album Yours Truly in 2013, while the lead single "The Way", featuring Mac Miller, charted in the top ten of the US Billboard Hot 100. Yours Truly was met critical acclaim, with music critics praising Grande's wide vocal range.
Throughout the following years, Grande has gone on to build her career and release several more critically acclaimed albums, such as My Everything, Dangerous Woman, Sweetener, Thank U, Next, Positions, and her latest album which was released in 2024, Eternal Sunshine.
Association to Ava Max[]
Ava had talked with a pop news media outlet and said that her dream collaboration was one with Grande. She said "I love her. I recently met her backstage at a Gwen Stefani concert in Las Vegas. She is honestly the sweetest, nicest human. I just want to be friends with her. She’s the coolest chick ever." [1]
Ava had also mentioned Grande as one of her inspirations after being asked about it at the Billboard's Women in Music event on December 6, 2018, in New York City. She said "I love Ariana Grande, I mean, I think she has incredible confidence and she's gone through a lot of hardships, so y'know I love that about her". And when asked about the Thank U, Next music video, she said it was incredible and that she loved everything about Grande. [2]
They have both worked with stylist Mimi Cuttrell, and hired Darrion Gallegos to dance in their music videos. Both have also written songs with Charlie Puth and preformed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
